We take our jobs seriously,
but ourselves, not so much.

We aren’t afraid of a challenge and understand the individual and team effort required to accomplish something great! SecureLink employees are like astronauts because we’re:

  • Smart
  • Talented
  • Eager to improve

Have Fun Creating Value Over the Long Run

Our Mission We Have Fun Creating Value Over the Long Run daily at SecureLink, meaning we put in the effort and go above and beyond to make sure we produce only the best end results.
The Right Customers The right customers are the ones that work well with us and can get true value from our solutions.
The Right Employees The right employees are “slinky,” meaning they are great at their job, eager to improve, and sincerely care about the company, our culture, and customers.
Own the Outcome We own the outcome of our situation, never making excuses or surrendering control. We see things through and never hear someone say “that’s not my job.”
Play to Win We play to win. Winning is fun and performance is rewarded. We play as a team, know our position, and trust our teammates. We embrace our mistakes as an opportunity to improve.
Think Long Term We think long term, never making a bad choice for the sake of immediate results. We invest in the people, processes, products, and programs that will yield outsized results in future years, not the current quarter.
Speak Up We encourage open, direct communication with everyone. Whether you see a problem or an opportunity, we can only improve if everyone communicates. The best idea wins, no matter its source.
Offer Solutions A well-defined problem is good, but not nearly as valuable as a solution. We make good decisions quickly by focusing on the best path forward, not the obstacles.
Make it Happen Trailblazers don’t get maps. SecureLink created a product category that didn't exist, so there’s no instruction manual. When you hear these words, we’re counting on you to get a result, not just go through the motions, or panic because it’s never been done before. You’ve got this.
Embrace Change We are unapologetic in our pursuit of excellence. In a dynamic and competitive market, this means we’re always evolving. We must not form an attachment to existing structures or processes. Change can be uncomfortable, but it’s vital for long-term success.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is SecureLink handling the COVID-19 pandemic?
Employee health and safety is a top priority for SecureLink. All of our employees are working fully remote for the time being, and successfully might we add! Since our shared workspace is a valued part of our culture and we appreciate face to face time with our colleagues, we plan to get back to the office eventually and we look forward to when that happens. SecureLink has a phased return to office plan in place once specific milestones are met and our leadership team agrees it is safe to begin returning.

In terms of interviewing while we are all remote, our final interview rounds have transitioned to virtual video meetings. You can still expect to meet with members of the team who would be your peers, as well as team leaders and leaders across the organization. In terms of dress code for your video interview, we want you to look like yourself and bring your personality! If you have any specific questions about interviewing virtually, feel free to reach out to the recruiter you’ve been coordinating with.
What happens after I apply?

We’ll start by reviewing your resume and if it meets the basic qualifications of the job, we’ll send you information about an assessment. Don’t stress – we will give you all the information you need for that. The next step is likely a call with one of our recruiters. If that goes well, we will contact you to schedule a series of interviews. If, at some point, either you or we determine there isn’t a fit, let’s agree to let each other know.

Throughout the process, we’ll keep the lines of communication open and do our best to set clear expectations about the next steps.

We want you to do your homework on us too! Check out our website and look us up on social media, Built In Austin, and Glassdoor.

How can I find out the status of my application?

A member of our team will be in touch to update you on the status of your application, but in the meantime, you can log in to the HireBridge portal to check the status of your application(s) using this link.

Why do you include an assessment as part of the process?

SecureLink has a unique culture and because we value that and diversity more than what university you attended or where you last worked, we include two assessments in our process. We find it helps predict your success in our environment. In short, we want the players who will perform best on this team.

The two assessments will measure your suitability in both aptitude and personality. These assessments take about 30 minutes to complete; considering how many hours you’ll spend at a job, this is a great investment of your time. 100% of candidates who interview and employees among our ranks, at all jobs, at every level, from interns to our executive team, have taken these assessments.

What exactly do the investments from Cove Hill Partners and Vista Equity Partners mean for employees?

Growth! It means work will never be boring and working at SecureLink will offer you a tremendous opportunity to launch your career! At SecureLink, we think long term and Cove Hill Partners is a long-term oriented private equity firm focused on partnering with outstanding management teams to build market-leading technology and consumer companies. And we play to win and Vista offers unmatched operational expertise and an outstanding track record of success.

In 2017, SecureLink partnered with Vista Equity Partners, the leading technology investment firm focusing exclusively on software, data, and technology-enabled companies. Since then, we have nearly tripled our revenue, earning a place on the Inc. 5000 list of the U.S.’s fastest-growing privately-owned companies three years in a row. During that same period, we’ve proudly maintained our strong culture, recently being recognized with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award. In 2020, we announced an investment from Cove Hill Partners which will position us to continue our rapid growth trajectory and leadership in the third-party remote access space.

How should I prepare for my interview?

Don’t forget to interview us too! It’s just as important for you to make sure we are the right fit for you, as you the right fit for us. Only you know exactly what is most important in the next team you join, so ask us anything you’d like to know.

What should I wear to my onsite interview?

You do you! Simply put, we want you to come dressed in what will make you most comfortable throughout the day. We have a casual dress code for our employees, and you will see many people around wearing jeans, and yes – even t-shirts and the occasional pair of flip-flops. Look like yourself and bring your personality! If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out to the recruiter you’ve been coordinating with.

What should I expect from my onsite interview?

We know what you may be thinking: “Cognitive and personality assessments, multiple phone interviews – this has been quite a process already! What should I expect from the in-person interview?” We’re so glad you asked! When you come onsite, you can expect to meet with members of the team who would be your peers, as well as team leaders and leaders across the organization. Of course, every interview is structured a little differently based on the role. If there’s anything unique you need to prepare in advance, our team will let you know.

Where should I park when I come to my in-person interview?

SecureLink has its own parking lot. If you’re unable to find a spot immediately adjacent to the building you can park in the spaces of our neighboring buildings that aren’t marked “Reserved” and/or covered.

Will I get to see the workspace and interact with current employees?

Yes and yes! We’ll kick off your onsite interview with a tour of our spaceship. Be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes before your interview start time so we can show you around. You’ll get to see the multiple workspaces we offer, as well as our cafeteria, game room, and gym. If, for any reason, your visit is coming to an end and you didn’t get to see what you wanted, don’t be afraid to ASK and we’ll make sure someone walks you around!

When will I hear back after my interview?

Our goal is to get back to you with an update 5-7 business days after the in-person interview. Of course, sometimes there are circumstances that can delay communication, but we always try our best to avoid that. If you need an update and haven’t heard from us, or have anything come up on your end, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our team.

What’s the deal with the space theme in the office?

A mild obsession? Probably. No seriously, we do love space, specifically the space race days! Those involved with the space race were audacious, but humble risk-takers. They were doing something no one had ever done before, in many instances with lives on the line, but they didn’t let that stop them from innovating, iterating, and advancing.

Do you really offer unlimited PTO? How does that work?

We really do. Work hard, play hard. Or relax — it’s up to you.
We believe that you should be able to take off the time that you need, when you need it, and provide you with flexible time off from work for whatever is important to you. How do we do that? Unlimited PTO to be used for vacations, sick leave, and other needs such as bereavement, jury or witness duty, or time spent supporting philanthropic endeavors. Unlimited doesn’t mean any planning, no reporting, or no vacation: simply put, you request PTO when you need or want to take it and we balance those requests with those of your teammates and the needs of the business.

Can I really bring my dog to work with me?

You bet you can! Studies show that employees who bring their dogs to work experience lower stress levels throughout the workday and report higher levels of job satisfaction. Who doesn’t like lower stress and higher job satisfaction… and dogs?

Still have a question we didn’t cover here?
