What are the benefits of the Hitachi ID Password Manager API integration?
SecureLink’s integration with Hitachi ID allows SecureLink customers to use Hitachi ID’s Password Manager to store credentials and integrate them into services accessed while using SecureLink. Hitachi ID allows the customer to set password policies, gives the ability to auto-generate passwords and hides all of the organization’s passwords in one repository.
Integration leverages Hitachi ID’s native password storage capabilities and policies.
Hitachi ID utilizes the existing SecureLink Credential Vault with minimal configuration.
SecureLink makes an API call to Hitachi ID in order to retrieve credentials with no additional configuration in the Hitachi ID application.
Retrieves necessary remote access credentials from Hitachi ID and connects to the remote server via the SecureLink connection.
The user sends a connection request using their SecureLink credentials.
Masked credentials are requested from Hitachi ID Password Manager API.
Masked credentials are passed to SecureLink and applied without user visibility.
